Aci Trezza

It is a section of Aci Castello, in Catania province. This village, originally a place for fisherman, is today a great tourist destination. This is not only for the beautiful landscape that its giant rocks offers, but also because of author Verga’s literature that took inspiration in this marvelous place. This beautiful seaside village is for sure one of the most recommended places to visit in Sicily.

Aeolian Islands

The Aeolian Islands are a volcanic archipelago part of the Messina province, north Sicily.

They have become , over the years, one of the main tourist destinations of the island. The main islands of the archipelago are: Alicudi, Filicudi, Lipari, Panarea, Stromboli, and Vulcano. The last two have a living vulcano inside. Surely one of the destinations to consider if you visit Sicily.

Turkish Stairs

This place is one of the most spectacular seaside of Sicily. The Turkish stairs is a white stone formation that overlooks the sea. The name derives from the fact that it was one of the main docking points for Turkish pirate ships in the past. It is located in the coast of Realmonte in Agrigento.

Conigli (Rabbits) Island

It is a small island located in the Pelagie archipelago , between the towns of Lampedusa and Linosa in the province of Agrigento. The Rabbits Island has become a popular tourist destination; this is because for many people it is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. It is certainly one of the stops to consider if you visit Sicily.
